Although Pastor Jerry Gibbons would seem like any other small town guy, graduating from East Davidson High school and enjoying things like football alongside time spent enjoying the outdoors: he’s had the Lord’s presence in his life since a very early age. Having went to Adirondack Bible College and earning his bachelor’s degree in Theology he continued on to complete his master’s and doctorate degrees. Shortly afterward Jerry started his pastoral ministry in 1985 and in 1998 Jerry was recorded as a Quaker minister at Dana Auditorium of Guilford College in Greensboro, N.C. Today, Pastor Gibbons has two loving children, Ray and Katie, as well as two grandsons, Jaelon and Kaedon, which are his pride and joy. We celebrate having Jerry as our pastor here at Forsyth Friends Meeting and look forward to doing the Lord’s work of sharing God’s Word alongside such a professional and esteemed individual.
